The purpose of this thread is to match up players who are new to Soul Calibur 4 and want to learn the basics and improve their game with players who are veterans to the game and want to help out new players learn the game, become proficient, and possibly make the transition to offline play.

If you are someone new and want to learn, introduce yourself here and give your location. That way it will make it easier for someone who is close to you geographically to play you and reduce the amount of lag the matches will have.

If you are a vet and have the time to teach, make yourself known and help the new players grow their game. Once you are matched with someone, you can then use PMs or visitor messages to communicate.

Anything else that does not fall under the purpose of this thread will be deleted.

I'll also be updating this first post with the names of those who want to mentor new players. Just post your info and I will add it.

I'll volunteer to teach newbies the ropes. I'm no vet to the community, but I am to the game. I am also fresh from the online scene myself, learning the differences between online and offline. Learning frames, tech and frame traps, spacing, how not to be stupid. I wouldn't mind teaching someone that doesn't know all of this online.

I'll be a mentor for XBL I'm on all the time. I'm already actually trying to help out an Astaroth player but he hasn't messaged me back. As long as a person wants to learn I'm willing to teach from the ground up.

learning frames doesnt seem like fun, i want someone to copy : }

This is a more organized way of going about helping someone for those who have the patience for online play. All your thread had was back and forth about nothing.

Ideally, what should happen is someone new should see this thread, look at the list of those who volunteered, and try and get in touch with them directly either by private message, visitor message, leaving a response here, or sending a message via XBL or PSN.

Simple right?
 
i think i need some help with the frames thing i just dont get it i can barely understand what´s on the characters wiki
