Well, it’s that time again; Time to have The Spawn Points 2nd Bi-monthly. I’m glad to see that Team Kogarasumaru will be having there monthly early this march so I can have my event nice and late. Also, with the recent release of Street Fighter IV I would like to include it in the tourney roster. In addition to THAT I came into some shocking news that not everyone is fond of SF4! So, (for the haters) I will also throw in 3s if enough people are interested.


TOURNAMENT LOCATION, DATE AND SCHEDULE:

1608 North Main Ave Scranton, PA 18508

March 28th, 2009

Registration starts at 3:00 P.M.
Singles for SC4 start at 4:00 P.M.
*times can be altered if needed*


SC4 SINGLES RULES:

  • Double Elimination Tournament.
  • Sets consist of 2/3 Matches in preliminary sets
  • Sets consist of 3/5 Matches in bracket-finals sets
  • Sets consist of 4/7 Matches in grand-finals sets
  • Matches consist of 3/5 Rounds in all sets
  • Rounds are all 60 secs long.
  • Winner Character Lock (cannot switch characters)
  • Double Blind Character Selection available
  • Random Stage Selection for first match of set
  • Loser's Choice for new RANDOM stage
  • All stages are legal for tournament play
  • Custom Characters are banned
  • Algol and Bonus characters are LEGAL
  • Yoda, Darth Vader and Apprentice are legal
  • Character Customization is legal if its on that console
  • Button Sequence Macroing is banned (Binding is legal)
  • All infinite damage combos are banned! No exceptions
  • Pausing may result in forfeiture of that specific round
  • Soft Reset will result in forfeiture of that specific match



3rd Strike SINGLES RULES:

  • Double elimination bracket
  • Sets consist of 2/3 Matches in preliminary sets
  • Sets consist of 3/5 Matches in bracket-finals sets
  • The finals will be best out of 7.
  • Default options. No one is supposed to adjust the options other than sound or screen size to fit to older TV’s with the exception of enabling/disabling analog stick for pad users.
  • Gill is Banned
  • Pausing may result in forfeiture of that specific round
  • Soft Reset will result in forfeiture of that specific match
  • LP,MP,HP and LK,MK,HK button binding is legal.


SFIV SINGLES RULES:

  • Double elimination bracket
  • Sets consist of 2/3 Matches in preliminary sets
  • Sets consist of 3/5 Matches in bracket-finals sets
  • The finals will be best out of 7.
  • Default options. No one is supposed to adjust the options other than sound or screen size to fit to older TV’s with the exception of enabling/disabling analog stick for pad users.
  • Seth is legal
  • Pausing may result in forfeiture of that specific round
  • Soft Reset will result in forfeiture of that specific match
  • LP,MP,HP and LK,MK,HK button binding is legal.

GAME AND HOUSE FEES:
  • $5 Venue Fee
  • SF4 and SC4 Singles - $10 Entry Fee
  • 3S Singles - $5 Entry Fee

PRIZES:
  • 1st Place - 60%
  • 2nd Place - 30%
  • 3rd Place - 10%

Not doing do hot in the money department, but if my brother can get off work, then I will likely show up after the second round of the GameStop SFIV tournament.

I am definitely looking forward to it if you can get Flare and Therapist to show up.

I'll be there. I'll enter SF4, which should be quite funny. I am terrible beyond belief.

The date in the title is wrong, which is kind of confusing. You'll probably want to change that...

I'm sorry, Shane. I'd love to come out and support again but I won't be able to get out of work that weekend. I'll do my best to make it to the next bi-monthly.
