Uh, I can't Re-GI A+B though. The only way to avoid Taki A+B spam is to jump after being GI, but depending on the move GI'ed, you can't jump. Forced to block an obviously incoming Guard Crush.
Been playing the game a lot, but this caught me entirely off guard and I just figured it out. Apparently, depending on the move that is impacted, you will have more or less frames to recover with. I don't know if this is a bug or not but I thought all guard impacts were supposed to provide the...
I think they should have them broken into 2 categories: Ranked legal or not.
To be ranked legal it should require the following:
Used the original character so the hitbox does not change
The character has no accessories equipped (Cylinders, Apples, Hearts, Wings, etc.).
There are interesting...
Siegfried base hold stance auto impacts horizontal attacks, which the remote grab was considered as until the patch. Against Ivy players that spammed 66a and 2ag, the base hold stance countered both. Recently though that low grab started hitting me when I did the base guard which annoyed the...
Had to go re-read the patch notes because I was wondering if I missed something. What am I missing? From what I read, they made the 66a better and the remote throw is still there. Her critical is still bs.
Ah, the change to the low remote throw is there, making it better and explains why my low...
I'd say Ivy is in the broken tier. Azwel might be broken as well (pun) but that may be due to my inability to read him.
Ivy has a powerful mix of moves for every situation. Long range? Check. Close range? Check. Dial-a-combos off of almost any hit? Check. Safe moves? Check. Fast moves? Check...
I think he figured it out. So a fully charged RE or an RE that you hit once gains the unblockable trait for its attack, which lets it clash cancel the unblockable. Cute :P
He posted it - it seems it got canceled by a clash from the RE's release attack and not the RE itself, which I never knew were possible vs unblockables. Can you clash unblockables with normal attacks with comparative input strength?
I could understand people's frustration with the RE mechanic back during the beta due to it being a new mechanic and no knew what countered it exactly. However, after release, it became apparent break attacks were enhanced with additional properties in the event the target attempted to RE or GI...
Yeah. I recognize him. He looked basically the same at PAX but had some thinned out goatee or something. Reason I remember him is because he had this rage quitting moment where he couldn't stand me smacking him around with Siegfried nonstop while he was lugging this giant arcade stick at the...
You know, if they follow the trend of Nether Realm and release even more character packs, this could be really great. Game could have a long term appeal if they go beyond the Season Pass DLC characters and keep adding more afterward.
Best hope is there is a 2nd pack after the season's pass's...
It all depends. Some characters have extra deadly RE moves that increase the chance they will pick it, in this case astaroth B. Others, like Sieg, have all 3 options as ideal since A and K can lead to stance startup while B leads to guaranteed super.
Naturally speaking, B is going to be the...
I played against that ivy player at PAX West at the Geico booth. Made him rage quit by beating him endlessly. I do remember the spammy 66a he did. And that was when I was relearning the game for the first time.
I guess online with the tiny bit of lag makes the Ivy turns into cancer.
Ivy has a 3 move mixup that is literally cancer on wheels. Unless you are a Yoshi with meter, this crap is absolutely annoying. Pair it up with one of the few supers with a built in guard impact once they get in close, you got yourself super cancer. If anyone has any insight into something I'm...
Reversal is fine once you figure out the counters to it. Essentially pushing A+B counters it outright.
The real cancer? Ivy 66a / 2ag / 2bk. Super cancer and way too safe from what I've seen.
