I might be setting up a tournament to offer flight/hotel to first place over here to get hype rolling.

At any rate, even if that doesen't materialize; this would be a great excuse to go to Europe for the first time.

Guys I just checked the flights from NYC to Toulon, which is 1 hour from Cannes and there are EXTREMELY Cheap flights via Paris right now, for example:

From 3.3.2010 to 8.2.2010, only 440 Euro!! Thats like 650 Dollars...

So, as said before,
I'm the one you can contact for any information.

Right now, I've got lot af answer from many different people but not from everyone.
I will give more detail about how many team can make it or not as soon as I know.
If players from a country that I forget to send pm want to make a national team, ask me !

Then, about the national team competition.
We now that some country cannot send a complete team (5 players at least).
There is a solution about that too, don't worry.

If you are a strong player from a country without team, we will find you some "partner" to enter the competition.
One team will be TEAM WORLD with all the star that cannot travel with a complete team.
And this is not gonna be a "little" team !
Think of something like Belial+Omega+Kura for example ! So, little team uh ?

Don't worry about Japan, they will have the same infos and the same opportunity than any other country.
But I can't say for sure if they will be able to send a complete team... It's hard to get free time out there.

The adpater doc show you on the link are GREAT, PERFECT.
No lag, no problem, nothing !
I tried them, Belial tried them, lots of Fr player tried them, Korean SF4 champion tried them
and everyone agree that IT WORKS !
We will not have infinite of this adapter, but we will have enough for everyone to play with the controler or stick that he wants.

Exactly what planet are you living on? That's WAY out of a lot of people's price range, depending on their circumstances lol.

I wonder if it'd be worth it to hold more qualifiers to raise money, and send a set team of players over like back in the day? There's a LOT of talented players over here that won't be able to afford this.

the cheapest way should be USA to PARIS, then, PARIS to nice via easy jet compagny (1 hour by plane).

Nice is close to cannes via bus (10 euros, 25 minutes)

Anyway, we will put on the futur official website ALL the infos for travelling from main countries

Lol, 650 Dollar is a lot of money, but imo pretty cheap for an overseas flight...i look for flights to NY very often and normally they are a lot more expensive...650 Dollar is getting drunk in a club 7-8 times :P

From Germany its 300 Dollar, and we are like ten times nearer than you are....

It's cheap for US > France ... not too bad

I'm assuming team usa is gonna consist of all high tier characters! Hint! I think I already know who is gonna be dream team French!

Team Australia is going to come out of nowhere and take it all! :P

On a more serious note, should be a great experience lol. Hopefully it'll raise our level of gameplay to the world level.

Yeah sure thing. Still up in the air right now but ill see who we can get. Whether the team will consist of our best players is another matter though.
