Location:
Nickel City
555 Waukegan Road
Northbrook, IL 60062

Game Lineup

Costs-$10 for each tournament, $20 COVER CHARGE for 1st tournament.

Remember. DON'T BE LATE. These are all tournament START times. We WILL START ON TIME. If you are late, you won't be allowed to enter the tournament UNLESS we have an open spot to replace a bye on the bracket. You ALSO will be required to pay an extra $10 if you are late. This means, MAKE SURE YOU ARE ENTERED and SOMEONE HAS PAID FOR YOU BEFORE THE SCHEDULED TOURNAMENT TIMES. DO NOT ASSUME you are in the tournament unless you have PAID or someone has PAID and entered your name.

Another rule we are enforcing in FULL EFFECT. Have your controller/joystick READY when your name is called for your match. If you are sharing, and someone else is in a tourney, you will be passed for another match. If there are no other matches we can do, you WILL BE DISQUALIFIED. Sharing controllers/converters holds up tournaments, so make sure you have your stuff ready to go. You have a 4 month notice since we are notifying everyone NOW about it.

The Top 2 players from EACH EVO tournament (including the top 2 teams in 3rd Strike) will bypass pools/qualfiers at EVO WORLDS in Vegas.

Friday June 12-
12PM-Capcom VS SNK 2 (PlayStation 2) 2/3 Double Elimination
3PM-Super Street Fighter II Turbo (Arcade) 2/3 Double Elimination (with PlayStation controller ports)
5PM-Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix (PS3) (rules pending)
7PM-2 VS 2 Street Fighter III: Third Strike (Arcade) (with PlayStation controller ports) Double Elimination

Midwest EVO SF4 5 on 5 Qualifier info:

This will take place on Friday June 12 5PM at Midwest Championships/EVO North

Anyone wishing to play in this tournament MUST have already signed up for EVO and I will be checking if you have with Wizard.

We will be having 4 free entry tournaments to decide the final spots on the team

The format will be 2/3 rounds 2/3 Matches Single elimination

You MUST stick with the same character throughout the ENTIRE tournament(s). No counter-picking. Your character will be signed to your name upon registration.

Once a character has won a tournament that character is banned from all the tournaments that follow it. As of right now the only character banned is Sagat.

This tournament is open to anyone that is a Midwest resident but please only enter if you are serious about representing MW at EVO and are 100% for sure going.

Hey, how come you get a skip pools play tournament there? Is there a way for other coasts to get the same?

I'm serious, I would like to know what has to be done for it.

"Also, his play style isn't set around being skillful either. It's not like he does MvC2 ROM infinites or anything like that. He holds some buttons down, let's them go, and if you get hit, you lose. In a nutshell. Hates, Manta and Krayzie have more skill and lose to it. It's not the player winning, it's the character. There is a difference there, but I digress. It's not worth getting worked up over." -Enkindu, speaking about me.

I dunno if anyone went to the tournament thread i linked in the first post. But we DO NEED PEOPLE TO BRING FULL SET UPS for SC4.

If you do and we use it, we'll waive your entry fee.

A full set up = T.V (non laggy) with console (every character unlocked) and game.

I contacted Mr Wizard about getting a qualifier for the east coast, and he informed me that this event (Evo North) is NOT a qualifier for Soulcalibur IV! It is only a qualifier for Street Fighter 4 and Super Turbo; do not be misinformed.

Well, if it is not a qualifier for EVO spots and it is father's day, i might not go. I will think about it.

Guys i'm heading offline and will be so until monday. so lemme say this:

GET HYPE FOR MWC/Evo North!!! I hope to see pretty much everyone to make it to this event.

Remember to mark EVERYTHING THAT IS YOURS (and I mean everything. If you have to engrave your initials into your PS3...freakin do so ).

People who are donating FULL set ups, please report immediately to the T.O table so we can register your belongings A.S.A.P. Also so we can make sure you get the 4 free tournament entries you are entitled to.

My selected staff: report to me ASAP upon arrival. You guys should know what's up there after.

I want to thank, in advance, everyone who is coming to participate in this event. To those that are not coming, I can only hope there will be live streaming available. Hopefully there will be some details coming soon.

    And finally some quick reminders:

    * If u respect, you will be respected! Any bullshit or misconduct there at the tournament (and this includes continuously disrespecting staff members and vice versa) and Dream will have your ass toss out quick (and yes that goes for me too and I'm staff ).

    * We still need FULL set ups for the following games...JIC:

    - SSBB
    - Guilty Gear XX: AC + U.S
    - SC4
    - Another dedicated SNK set up with games (such as KOF 98/2k2 UM/Unlm, MOTW, Fatal Fury: Real Bout 2...etc), and T.v

If you are able to help out with any of this, contact me immediately upon arrival (it'll be almost impossible to MISS ME).

I think that's all for now. The show starts tomorrow at 11AM (well for me it started 27 mins ago...and I'm late! ) see u all there!!!
