Guest Commentators for DEVASTATION 2010

So, as usual, we are trying to include more of the community in the event, as opposed to just "at" the event, and we thought this would be a great way to involve more of you... along with taking feedback from last year and putting it to work.

We are looking for/accepting Guest Commentators for DEVASTATION.

Does Hates not play anymore? He can roll down with NorCal yes? ;)

We'll definitely look into a team tournament. If we did one, I'm thinking 2v2 unless you guys would prefer 3v3. Thoughts?

I vote for a 3v3 tourney. Then again, I already have two other players I'd like to team up with :D

Sup Hy: So go?

Mamba/Widow: Only problem with a 3v3 is the number of teams we'd end up with. Let's say 30 people show, that's only 10 teams IF everyone wants to play in the tournament. But if we went 2v2, that would be 15 teams instead of 10.

I'm up for it either way, just looking at it from all points. Any other feedback?

I'm gonna be honest I was gonna try to make this but i'm not sure if I can alongside GAMME. So I stand by a maybe status.

However if the Hilde/Algol ban thing does become enforced its a definite no. Its an immense disservice to the best competitor in that area in SC4 and to be honest even though me and Ceirnian are not buddies I do respect his skill and he would be at the top of my list for even going out there as a competitor alongside KrayzieCD who I still wanna play offline.

@S-U - Cedric might not be able to attend any tournaments this summer anyways,due to the airforce.

i'm just curious...if Idle also supports the recent change, are you just going to quit SC entirely. Because you might as well do that since this is a step foward towards a unified ruleset. I don't want to sound like a dick or discourage you, but seriously you might just want to quit SC and stick with tekken at that point.

Understandable and the fact is if this rule is enforced I do quit with one exception; If GAMME becomes the National home of SC4 (aka something special to SC I will show up everytime because France, DR, etc. will hopefully come out and if it makes it to Evo etc). Everything else i am considered retired until SC5.

U really have to understand me as a person to see where i'm coming from. I love SC and in fact it is my favorite fighting game. The mechanics make the most sense to me out of all fighters. Everything is in the users hand. I like Tekken more because the comp is ten times more tough because people take it super serious no matter the obstacle. They play to compete.

I find the SC community complains about so many things that as much as I love the game above them all no contest it gets dragged down due to the community itself. The competitive drive is lacking in the U.S. I must make that clear. Has nothing to do with France, DR, Korea, etc. as u can see they welcome everything and just compete.

I came from DOA and I have to say this community at times is bordering the line of being worse that the DOA community which is saying alot which at the time I was there was horrendous.

Right now there are 5-7 people staying at my place, not counting me... with another one who just asked (not sure if he's actually staying or not). So there could be 8 people at my place depending on who actually shows. lol

DEV will use whatever rules the community wants. If the community wants Hilde/Algol banned at DEV, we will ban them. If the community wants them playable, they will not be banned.

I'm not entirely convinced that your other thread marks some legendary turning point for the community and these rules will stick. We've already seen that GAMME is not following the rules that have been set in that thread. So please do not take my post in your thread to indicate that both characters are banned at DEV.

If the ruling by Jaxel sticks, we'll ban them... otherwise we'll go with what the other majors (i.e. the community) are doing.
